cooking with aunt pammy

My aunt came over two nights ago and taught Bentley and I how to make an organic spaghetti sauce from scratch. Bentley helped pull the stickers off the tomatoes, peel garlic, separate the cloves, put the tomato slices into the bullet blender and how to fashionably wear as many patterns as humanly possible. My aunt, on the other hand, learned how to keep knives and kitchen scissors away from a 2 1/2 year old. With dinner we also enjoyed homemade organic garlic butter on toasted kalamata olive bread and steamed carrots and broccoli. yum. Thank you aunt pammy!

leaving little gifts

Bentley has taken to voluntary sharing some of her favorite things with her little sister. I will often find a little trinket laying next to Emery that Bentley lovingly planted.

Emery finds it appalling that Sleeping Beauty was given to her without proper attire.

sister bonding time

Though I haven't posted in awhile, I have tried my mommy-of-two best to still stay on top of capturing moments. I finally had precious time today to upload and edit photos and videos of our two girls.

"that's dang'rous"

While Emery was sleeping and the rest of us were enjoying dinner. Bentley announced to Drew and me, " Don't wake up baby sister... no.. no.. (head shaking)... that's dang'rous."

a card for emery

When Emery started crying the other day, Bentley said, "I make a card for Emerme". When I asked what she wanted to say in the card, she said, "Happy Birthday Baby Sister." Even though she thinks all cards are birthday cards, it is clear she understands they bring people joy. Melt.
