I saw this idea a long time ago. Get a deep roaster pan, pour in some cornmeal, collect all the construction-type vehicles you have, and let the creativity begin! We also hid "jewels" and searched for buried treasure later. Another great idea would be to do an archaeological dig with dinosaurs or "bones."

"Mr. Webster" comes to visit

| Bentley's Papa came to visit her classroom as a "special guest" today during the week they were learning about dinosaurs. He brought fossils with imprints from shells as well as petrified wood. But the super exciting part was the exact replica of a saber tooth cat skull that he got from the La Brea tar pits in California. Cliff was so gracious, patiently answering all kinds of questions (some completely irrelevant, ha) and even let each kid take home a piece of petrified wood. for more photos click here |
